An Introduction from The President . . .Ron Tottingham, PhDDear Friend. . . We count it a special honor and privilege to introduce Great Plains Baptist Divinity School to you. The ministry of GPBDS reaches around the world through Missionaries, Pastors, Evangelists, Chaplains (Military, Law Enforcement and Correctional), and numbers of Christian workers. We are committed to the local Baptist Church, to God's men and the needs of the Gospel Ministry. We also have dedicated this college to worldwide church planting and church planters. Our educational support for and to God's men, whether in the Pastorate or on a Mission field (foreign or home), has been firmly established. We believe the Baptist Churches of God's design are God's "continuing education ministry laboratories." We understand the ministry, its expectations, its demands and its rewards, and tailor educational programs around God's Men wherever possible. We strive to serve God's Choice Servants - the men and women of His ministry. I appreciate your giving Great Plains Baptist Divinity School this opportunity to present our ministry to you. Your inquiry is truly welcome. We await further opportunity to help you. Statement of FaithGreat Plains Baptist Divinity School and College is a local church Baptist School teaching the Baptist Faith "once delivered to the saints." We hold the Received Text of the Bible as the pure Word of God and the Authorized Version [KJV] as the only accurate English translation. We hold the absolute Deity of Christ, salvation by grace through faith only; a literal hell fire; and a pre-seventieth week, pre-millennial rapture of the saints of this age. We believe that the "local" church is the only New Testament Church. And that the local Baptist Church of the New Testament is integral to God's plan for this age. We do not accept the "universal church" position, nor do we accept the Body of Christ as anything but a local church. We receive only "like faith and practice" baptism and practice a closed Lord's Supper. We believe in church provided elementary and high school education, personal evangelism, Bible standards, old-fashioned music, traditional Christian families, hard work, and that sound preaching is the best counseling methodology and the best course for building such things in God's people. |
