However, what does it matter? Are we to have a different service or a different spirit because so-and-so does or does not come to any given service? Yes, we visit and labor at winning souls around here, and we care if folks do or do not attend but we care for the person rather than their count on an attendance inventory sheet.
Also, I've noticed that when God counted He generally only counted the men. Acts 4:4, "Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand."
Maybe we have become so count oriented that our focus is more on that than services to worship and sermons to stir the inward, or fellowship that is true fellowship and not aimed at social cement. Maybe we should be cemented by Christ rather than socialization. Stirred by Bible exposition preached and exegesis rather than preacher "philosophy," and worship the holy rather motivate the emotions. Just thought I'd ask.
